Join Darcy Rhodes RD at the West Custer County Library for a talk on the subject of Obesity. This topic is extremely broad and could span multiple classes! In this class, we will focus on a brief definition of Obesity and BMI, some problems with the classification, touch on some of the myriad factors that contribute to Obesity, today focusing on certain foods and medications that affect appetite, and finally, share some healthy lifestyle tips and steps you can take to improve your health now.
This is Darcy’s third class at the WCCL. She previously spoke about prediabetes and brain health. Darcy is a Registered Dietitian and also has a certificate of training in Obesity and weight management. Darcy lives and works locally and enjoys teaching wellness classes here, at Altitude Fitness, and at Pines Ranch wellness fairs! In her (limited!) spare time, she enjoys cooking, baking, and yoga.
