The Empowered Caregiver is an educational program presented by the Alzheimer’s Association and the Colorado Coalition for Aging Research. Learn to navigate the responsibilities of middle and late stage caregiving. Topics include:
- Building foundations of caregiving
- Supporting independence
- Communicating effectively
- Responding to dementia-related behaviors
- Exploring care and support services
The program will be offered via zoom. Registration is required. Please visit alz.org or call 1-800-272-3900 to register. The West Custer County Library offers Telehealth Kits for checkout if you need a laptop and mobile hotspot to enroll in the class. A Wi-Fi enabled Privacy Booth is also available at the library on a reservation basis.
